1) Strategic Forces Command exempted from the ambit of RTI :

Under Section 24 of the Right To Information  Act, 2005 it is mentioned that all the central intelligence and security agencies mentioned in the second schedule of the Act (that were previously 22 in number) are immune to divulge any information (except for corruption and human rights violation cases). After addition of S.F.C., the number of such exempted agencies reaches 23.

2) Law with an alleged loop hole:

Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016 is accused to have a flaw as it allows the children below the age of 14 to work in family enterprises. Activists like Kailash Satyarthi also raised objections as the law can be misused to indulge children in labour.

3)Punjab & Haryana Bar Council becomes the first Bar to launch an app:

The app- "bar council of punjab and haryana"- provides the latest updates from the state bar council and also details about the enrolled advocates. It facilitates the users by providing various forms and procedures for applying for a licence, The online payment mode for licence fee will be added shortly.

4) New Appointments of Chief Justices to three High Courts in India:

(a) J. Dilip Baba Sahab Bhonsle sworn in as CJ of Allahabad High Court;
(b) J. Iqbal Ahmed Ansari sworn in as CJ of Patna High Court;
(c) Acting CJ Shiavax Jal Vazifdar to take oath as permanent CJ of Punjab and Haryana High Court on 6th day of August.

P.S - High Courts go through severe vacancies of judges, for instance Punjab and Haryana runs with a vacancy of 36 judges (49/85)
